Independent · Multi-marque · Since 2013

The workshop your car keeps coming back to.

We are an independent service centre in south London, looking after the everyday Toyotas, the long-hooded Mercedes, and the BMWs people would rather not hand to a main dealer. Same diagnostic tools, fewer hand-offs, fairer invoices.

Service Range

Six service families, one workshop.

From a quick interim service to a stripped engine on the bench — we handle the full repair journey under one roof, so you only have to drop the car off once.

Scheduled servicing

Interim, full, and major services tailored to your vehicle's manufacturer plan. Stamps go in the digital book, parts are listed on the invoice line by line.

What sets us apart

A small team that owns the whole job.

We deliberately stay small so the technician who lifts your car is the one who diagnoses it, fixes it, and writes the notes you read at handover. There is no service writer translating from the workshop to you, and no upsell sheet hidden in the inspection.

  • Senior technicians on every job — no apprentice-only invoices.
  • Photos and short clips of anything worn we want to show you.
  • Old parts kept in the boot until you confirm you're happy.
  • Courtesy car available for jobs taking more than four hours.
More about the workshop
Marques we look after

Specialists in a handful of cars, generalists for the rest.

Our diagnostic licences and training time are concentrated on three marques. Anything else — Volkswagen Group, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Nissan, Lexus — is welcomed and serviced to the same standard, just without the marque-specific badging.

Our process

How a visit to Undarix actually goes.

Drop-off & brief

Ten minutes with you and the car. We listen, take notes, and agree what's worth investigating before any spanner moves.

Inspection & quote

A senior tech runs the inspection and we send a written quote — itemised, with parts numbers and labour hours — before we start work.

Repair & recheck

We do the work, road-test the result, and re-scan the systems we touched to make sure no fault codes were left behind.

Handover

You collect the car with the report, the old parts if you'd like to see them, and a 180-day workshop warranty on what we replaced.

Drivers who trusted us

What clients say after collection.

"Booked my E92 in for a coolant leak that two other places couldn't pin down. Got a video of the cracked expansion tank within an hour, a fixed price, and the car was ready by the next afternoon. Refreshing."

DM Daniel M.BMW 335i owner · Croydon

"They service the family Yaris and my partner's GLC. The fact that they look after a 12-year-old hatchback with the same care as a near-new Mercedes is the bit I keep telling friends about."

PR Priya R.Two-car household · Bromley

"I run a small print delivery fleet and Undarix has handled the brakes, MOT-prep and a clutch on the Caddy. Quotes are clear, invoices are itemised, and downtime has dropped noticeably since we switched."

Common questions

Quick answers before you book.

Will using an independent workshop affect my manufacturer warranty?
No. Under the EU Block Exemption (still in force in UK consumer law), a manufacturer warranty cannot be voided for being serviced outside the dealer network, provided the work uses parts of matching quality and follows the service schedule. We service to that standard and stamp the digital book accordingly.
How long does an inspection and quote take?
For a routine concern, expect a written quote within 90 minutes of drop-off. For an intermittent fault that needs a road test or extended scan, allow half a day — we'll always tell you upfront if a longer diagnostic slot is needed.
Do you supply genuine parts, or aftermarket?
Both, and you choose. We default to OE (original equipment, often the same factory as the dealer part, just without the marque box) unless you've asked for a genuine dealer part or a quality aftermarket alternative is more sensible.
Can I wait while a small job is done?
For brake pads, an oil service, or a wheel-alignment, yes — there's a small lounge with decent coffee, fast Wi-Fi and a workbench if you want to keep working. For larger jobs we offer a courtesy car or are a short walk from Norwood Junction station.
What does the 180-day workshop warranty cover?
Every part we fit, and the labour to fit it, is covered for 180 days or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first. If something we replaced fails in that window we sort it without an invoice. The warranty is in writing on every job sheet.
Do you collect and deliver vehicles?
Within a six-mile radius of the workshop, yes — usually at no extra cost for a service or pre-booked job. Outside that we partner with a local trade transporter and pass the cost through at trade rate.
